Storyline:
When Mr. Bean goes to the library reading room, nothing goes right. Everything he touches makes noise and even the books seem to have it in for him.

focus: Mr. Bean tries to trace the design in an illuminated manuscript, only to accidently damage the page. His attempts to repair the damage one mys the problem worse. Finally, at closing time he swithces the detroyed volume for one that was used by another reader at the table. He turns in his book to the librarian (Doyle) who checks it quickly, then leaves before the reader turns in the other volume which fals apart int he librarian's hands. Of course, Mr. Bean take this opportunity to return for the book mark he had left in the damaged book..
